Preservation Easements Internship
Spring and Summer 2024

Description
Immediate openings for 1-2 interns for spring and summer 2024 to perform easement assessments, including but not limited to easement monitoring visits, research, and documentation.
Preservation SC’s Preservation Easement Program evolved as a part of the organization’s revolving fund initiative, which is used to purchase, rehabilitate, and resell at-risk historic properties. Today, PSC holds 44 easements across the state. These easements include textile mills, houses, slave dwellings, and rural churches.
Qualifications
Candidates must have demonstrated advanced abilities in Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. Literacy in architectural history. This position requires site visits. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and their own car.
Internships at Preservation SC are open to applicants who are either currently enrolled in a graduate program or graduate conservation certificate program in a discipline relevant to the internship, for example, architectural history, architecture, historic preservation, or public history.
Internships are available for spring and summer 2024 and include a stipend plus mileage reimbursements.
